Some artists don’t stand a chance because their voice doesn’t necessarily sound great, but hey keep pushing. This isn’t the case for Benjamin who proves that he is ready for the next level up. BENJAMIN KEN - CHOSEN September 15, 2019 Take a listen to the “Chosen” by Benjamin Ken on Juss Russ Radio. Repping for the underground, is up and coming Rapper more widely known as Benjamin Ken here to debut his newest body of work entitled “Chosen”. This project is being marketed as a mixtape so it well be available for free streaming until further notice. Nonetheless, this 6-song composition is jam packed with hard-hitting Trap-influenced production and even features some smoother cuts on the in-between to cater more to his female audience. My favorite track after first listen would have to be “Hot As Me”. The production on this joint is crazy and the energy and charisma that Benjamin Ken delivers with vocally really makes this a top-tier record. I would love to see him flesh out a few of these joints and put some visuals in the mix as a lot of his music incorporates a sense of storytelling which makes the majority of his music visual in a sense anyhow. He’s mastered the ability to pen catchy hooks and deliver an array of flows and cadences to produce songs that fans can party too, ride too, and most importantly use as a soundtrack to life throughout their day to day flow. I’m excited to see where this project takes Benjamin and hope he stays consistent moving forward. If what he has coming to follow-up “Chosen” is anywhere near this caliber sonically and quality-wise, this kid is destined for a big quarter in 2019.
